Maro Has Something To Smile About

Chano8 - Tue, 04/25/2017 - 14:27

The self-proclaimed RnB Kyabazinga has something to brag about after being recommended by a USA film star Morocco Omari. When hosted on Urban TV’s Skizzy TV show on Monday evening, Omari, an actor in the ‘Empire’ season said that Maro is his favourite Ugandan artiste when asked which musician he likes in the Pearl of Africa.

Much as everyone was expecting the star to mention usual names like Bebe Cool, Chameleone, Juliana or Eddy Kenzo, his top choice was the ‘Kyokoba’ artiste.

However, this might have been influenced by the fact that Omari had spent most of the time with Maro during his visit to Uganda.

Morocco Omari after jetting into Uganda he went to National Theatre but was barely noticed by anyone until he entered the auditorium to watch comedicine.

His presence was announced by Richard Tuwangye and this is how he received a standing ovation by most people in attendance.

Television drama series’ fans will identify Omari as Tariq Cousins, a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agent whose eyes are set on taking down elusive music empire top executive Lucious Lyon, played by celebrated actor Terrence Howard.

‘Hire the Youth’ is here to help unemployed youth

Campus Bee - Tue, 04/25/2017 - 14:06

Interestingly, today unemployment amongst the youth increases with the level of education attained: Unemployment is lower among persons with no education and primary education, and higher among those with secondary education and above. This is not to negate the importance of education—as it is widely known that education is a significant factor in securing good employment over time—however, the more educated are biased towards wage-paying formal jobs, which are harder to find.

Employers tend to ask for  a minimum of 5 years experience in order to take a look through an applicant’s CV. Year in year out universities churn out millions and million into an already narrow and suffocated job market.

Hire The Youth Organistaion is a new  youth-led initiative set to make society more inclusive, fair and responsive to young people’s unemployment challenges. It aims to dispel the negative stereotypes of young people by giving them a platform where they can express themselves and issues affecting them.

The online initiative aims to help young people aged 15-30 who are in / out of school, unemployed or underemployed overcome the barriers to employment by pushing forward campaigns that drive educational reforms and youth empowerment.

Hire The Youth wants young people to be independent, happy, flourish, get a job, workout who they are, irrespective of their background. This will help them make connections that will help them achieve their goals and live a fulfilling life.

Makerere research fellow, Dr Stella Nyanzi has been sent back to Luzira Prison until May 10 since her lawyers had made an application for revision of the proceedings in the High Court. “We can’t proceed today until we get further guidance,” Muwaganya told court. Nyanzi was arrested a month ago for calling President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni “a pair of buttocks” on her Facebook timeline.

Nyanzi’s lawyer Nicholas Opio complained to presiding Chief Magistrate James Ereemye that his client is being subjected to discriminatory treatment to the extent that she has been restricted to have hand written notes, books and or to have a private lawyer- client discussion.

In reply Resident state Attorney Jonathan Muwaganya said that prison is a regulatory facility things such as literature for inmates are censored.

It’s against this background that magistrate Ereemye ruled that he cannot pass judgment against prison authorities who are competent enough to do their work adding that since the concern has been raised, court should now await their feedback.

SK Mbuga and wife, Jalia Mbuga, are expecting their second child

"Big up to all mom's..I love being a mom," the Ferrari babe wrote while sharing the baby bump pics.

Following the over 2billion wedding, that comprised of a Rolls Royce and Ferrari among others as groom to bride gifts, Jalia will forever remain faithful.

"A good relationship is like a game of chess, the queen should always protect her king," Jalia noted three days back.

Before SK Mbuga started dating Jalia, he was with singer Leila Kayondo, but as Jalia puts it, the queen failed to protect the King by not giving him what he wanted as she was always performing at various bars or better still, thinking of composing a hit song.

SK and Leila split bitterly in January 2016 and in August of 2016, Jalia gave birth to a baby girl, Mbuga rewarded her with a lavish wedding in November 2016. Nine months after her first child with the young tycoon, Jalia is pregnant again.

Nine-month-old baby Aillah all relaxed in the pram as mom takes a bit of selfies of the baby on board.

This will be Jalia's third child and Mbuga's second with her. Mbuga has other children from previous relationships.
